General Candidate FAQ

No. We pride ourselves in maintaining our candidate’s search confidential. We will only send your resume with your approval.

It depends on the role for which you are applying. Please refer to the list of qualifications below.

When a qualified candidate is identified, the candidate’s resume is reviewed by a recruiter. A video or a telephone interview is set up in order to gauge whether the candidate possesses the experience, skill set, and qualities required by the client. If no open positions meets the requirements or qualifications of a candidate, we will keep the resume active until told otherwise.

Assuming that a position is available, the candidate may be tested for the specific skills required by the client. If the candidate passes the required test(s), a recruiter may conduct an in-depth interview with them via video or in person. Depending on the position, the client may conduct several interviews with the candidate.

All candidates under consideration have to fill out a general application form. We will also call employment references to confirm candidate’s dates of employment and their title. A background check may also be required by the client.

All chosen candidates will receive a message informing them they were selected. If the candidate accepts the position, they will receive information regarding when and where the assignment will begin and will receive onboarding paperwork. Direct hire candidates will be onboarded by the client.

It depends on whether you are looking for a permanent job or a temporary job.

If you are looking for a permanent job, it could take several months.  Law firm search can typically take anywhere from three to six months, while in-house searches can take up to 12 months.

Temporary placements tend to be much faster ranging from days to weeks.  You may even start an assignment within one day.

The duration of an assignment is rarely fixed. Some projects are short-term, ranging from days to weeks, others are long-term lasting several months. The end date is usually not known upfront, but whenever possible, an estimate is provided.

You will be provided with all the benefits required by law based on what relationship you have with HireRoos, what role you are placed in, and where you are located. You may be able to obtain health insurance and retirement benefits from one of our affiliates.

Perks vary, they depend on the client.

Specific Information About Document Review Work

Document review attorneys are required in a variety of situations where large numbers of documents need to be analyzed, separated, and coded. For example, a document review team might be hired for lawsuits, regulatory investigations, compliance matters, fraud investigations, or mergers.

Document review can be conducted by physically examining documents, or screening e-mails and other electronic files for relevance, privilege, and confidentiality concerns. Document review platforms such as Relativity are usually used to accomplish this task. The reviewing attorney follows a detailed series of specifications provided by the client. Although most document review assignments involve strictly reviewing documents, some positions may include research, writing, and translating. Document review teams are often supervised by at least one client attorney or a project manager.

Document reviews can be conducted at a law firm office, at the site of a corporation, at a recruiter’s office, at a third-party location, or remotely. Currently, almost all document review work is done remotely.

About Substantive
Project Work

Substantive project attorneys are needed when an organization needs more attorneys for an on-going case or the organization wants to take on a new project but does not want to (or is not ready to) hire permanent staff.  Attorneys are then contracted to work on projects such as trial preparation, research, writing, acting as temporary general counsel, contract review, contract preparation, and most other tasks performed by permanent attorneys.

A supervising attorney will provide feedback to the project attorney during the project to make sure the work product matches the supervising attorney’s expectations.
